Full-time 3rd cycle studies (3 years)

3rd cycle studies at the Faculty of Piano, Organ, Harpsichord and Early Instruments are addressed to outstanding artists who completed second cycle or one-tier master studies, have significant achievements in their major and want to improve performance skills and conduct research in the field of instrumental performing art.
Within the scope of instrumental major in the Faculty of Piano, Organ, Harpsichord and Early Instruments, the Academy offers education in majors: piano, organ, harpsichord, traverso flute.

GRADUATE PROFILE
Doctoral studies end with 3rd degree qualifications which are obtained through doctoral proceedings led on the basis of art. 11 paragraph 1 of the Law from the 14th March 2013 on scholarly degrees and titles and scholarly and titles in the scope of art – the degree of doctor of art of a particular filed in the scope of artistic discipline, confirmed by a given diploma.
The graduate of the 3rd cycle studies possesses the following qualifications:
  • possesses knowledge and practical skills necessary to positive defence of doctoral dissertation; knows effective ways of creating his/her own methods of research work; knows how to identify, examine and solve complex practical problems; is familiar with current areas of developing his/her own discipline in Poland and abroad; possesses deep knowledge and proper level in using research skills and methods related to his/her own major, enabling for further independent conducting of artistic, scholarly and didactic work in an institution of higher education;
  • possesses ability of creative transformation and usage of information; possesses ability of making deductions or opinions, based on understanding of problems in a given field of knowledge; possesses ability of critical analysis and synthesis of artistic ideas, plans and processes and their evaluation;
  • in matters related to his/her own major, knows how to communicate with both artistic and academic circles as well as with the broadly understood society; is aware of his/her role in development of a society based on knowledge in professional and academic context

Major: Vocal and acting performance
Full-time 3rd cycle studies (3 years)

3rd cycle studies are addressed to outstanding vocalists who completed second cycle or one-tier master studies, gifted with intellectual potential and knowledge that guarantee the highest level of artistic achievements. The goal of doctoral studies is to prepare the student to open and complete the doctoral proceedings as well as develop skills necessary in artistic, scholarly and didactic work.
The 3rd cycle student has the right to choose the pedagogue of the major subject.
